New Mocha Bronze Brings California Faucets PVD Finishes to an Even Dozen

Huntington Beach, California–(June 1, 2004)–The world leader in super-hard PVD finishes, California Faucets is introducing an exciting new PVD finish called Mocha Bronze, bringing its PVD offerings to an even dozen. Mocha Bronze is a PVD version of the popular living finish Oil-Rubbed Bronze.

Shown here is the Santa Monica widespread faucet. The new rustic looking Mocha Bronze finish gives the appearance of a “living” finish but never changes. Actual living finishes are so called because over time the finishes change appearance with use. However, this desirable “living” feature requires careful and continuous maintenance to prevent fading, scratching, corroding or otherwise showing wear and tear. In contrast, California Faucets’ decorative PVD finishes, like Mocha Bronze are many times harder than chrome, and are so durable—that they carry lifetime guarantees against tarnishing.

PVD stands for Physical Vapor Deposition, a high-tech process that molecularly bonds the finish to the faucet. The resulting finish will not corrode, discolor or tarnish, making it the most long-lasting decorative finish available today.
