“The Case of Mix & Match”
I was mounting my latest California Faucets display. The “Catalina” in satin rose bronze. The most beautiful item in the showroom. That is, until Betsy entered. Her last name was Brass and she had looks that could melt it. I nearly dropped my widespread.

Brass didn’t smile. She wanted to get down to brass tacks. I couldn’t blame her, she had a pressing design question. She wanted to order the California Faucets “Carmel” series, but didn’t want the cross handles. She was into levers. Me? I like it both ways, but that’s another story.
The lady needed my help. She knew exactly what she wanted and didn’t want to settle. Brass didn’t want to knuckle under.

She didn’t have to. I told Brass that all California Faucets spouts and handles are inter-changeable. “You mean I can mix and match?” she asked. That’s right,” I told her, “You have complete design flexibility.
If you can imagine it, they can manufacture it.” And I wasn’t
just spouting off.

Brass wasn’t dull. She understood what this meant. With over 25 faucet styles offering, the number of possible design combinations was staggering. So were her baby blues, but I didn’t say anything.
When it comes to discussing quality fittings, I’m all business.
