Customizable bridge style faucet collection—with a modern twist— recognized at the decorative plumbing industry’s top annual event for its thoughtful design and flexible range of styles from traditional to contemporary
(Huntington Beach, CA, November 10, 2023) California Faucets’ Bridge Kitchen Faucet Collection received the 2023 “Product of the Year–Kitchen Fixture” award at the 22nd Annual Decorative Plumbing Hardware Association (DPHA) Conference and Product Showcase. The award ceremony took place during the October 12-15 event at the Marriott Marquis Chicago. DPHA, the industry’s premier plumbing industry association, chose the Bridge Collection out of a pool of outstanding entries for its thoughtful design and complete range of styles including traditional, contemporary, industrial, and transitional.
Bridge style faucets were found in the homes of the wealthy during the Victorian Era. Standing tall on two legs, they allow hot and cold water to blend before descending the spout and cascading gracefully into the sink. The Bridge Kitchen Faucet Collection modernizes this design concept and helps it stretch beyond the original traditional style. The new collection runs the gamut from traditional and transitional to contemporary, and even industrial. Designers and homeowners can choose from a myriad of handle options, arc or quad spouts, a complete selection of matching accessories, and more than 25-plus artisan-applied finishes to build their very own bridge to luxurious kitchen design.
“With an array of never-before-seen looks for the timeless bridge genre, the collection breaks the mold of traditional design,” says California Faucets CEO Jeff Silverstein. “We’re excited that the decorative plumbing community’s top professionals recognize the unique versatility of the Bridge Kitchen Faucet Collection,” he adds.
This year’s panel of judges was comprised of experts in the field of design and construction who reviewed entries in nine categories ranging from kitchen and bath fixtures to engineering and technology. The prestigious panel included Interior Designer and on-air television personality Alena Capra, owner of Alena Capra Designs in Fort Lauderdale, FL; Executive Editor of Hospitality Design magazine Alissa Ponchione; Founding Editor and longtime Publisher of Kitchen & Bath Design News (KBDN) Eliot Sefrin; Certified Kitchen Designer and Producer/Host of “Around the House with Eric G®,” Eric Goranson; Founder and Principal Designer of Garrison Hullinger Interior Design, Garrison Hullinger; and Interior Designer and Owner of Molly N. Switzer Designs, LLC, Molly Switzer.
